Description
General Function:
Each Activity Specialist, Program Specialist, or Teacher is responsible for the effective implementation of the ULBGC – Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC programs and activities in the areas of academic achievement and education, sports and physical activities, recreation, mentoring, social emotional learning and technology. In addition, he/she shall assist the Program Coordinator in the execution of other activities and programs as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement programs and activities.
- Implement programs and activities as indicated in the activity curriculum.
- Support and supervise program participants.
- Promote and stimulate interest and participation of participants.
- Serve as an assistant to the Program Coordinator in general supervision.
- Maintain records of program participants.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Assist in planning and implementation of special events.
- Provide input for program implementation and effectiveness
- Participate in periodic meetings as required by Program Coordinator.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to participants.
- To adhere to all physical and emotional safety guidelines as recommended by CPS, CDC, BGCA and the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs.
