This position also offers room for growth, with the opportunity to advance into a Multi-Unit Wine Director role within our restaurant group.
Position: Certified Sommelier
Responsibilities:
Lead the wine service program, including table-side recommendations, pairings, and education for both guests and staff.
Maintain and curate the wine list, ensuring selections align with the restaurants menu and vision.
Manage wine inventory, ordering, and cost controls in collaboration with management.
Train and mentor front-of-house staff on wine knowledge, proper service, and pairings.
Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience through storytelling and wine expertise.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to wine storage and service.
Work closely with ownership and management to develop long-term wine program strategies.
Qualifications:
Certified Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET Level 3, or equivalent).
A strong understanding of French wines and cuisine, with a passion for hospitality.
Excellent communication and guest engagement skills.
Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings preferred.
Ability to manage inventory, cost controls, and vendor relationships.
Strong leadership skills and an interest in growing into a Multi-Unit Wine Director role.
