Job Title: Bellman
Reports to: Front Desk Managers
Department: The Inn at the League
Location: The Union League of Philadelphia (140 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19102)
Description:
The Bellman will be responsible for assisting Inn guests with luggage/belongings as well as assist the front desk team and housekeeping team with any needs. This person must be detailed orientated and able to work with little to no supervision. The Bellman must be pleasant, honest, and friendly. They should be able to address and handle all guest requests and problems while adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards of The Union League.
Responsibilities:
- Review Arrivals list each date with the Front desk for gift bags/welcome packages, deliveries, cots, cribs, etc.
- Check and restock coffee machine
- Keep the convenience center organized, stocked and clean
- Walk floors to collect room service trays
- Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out
- Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
- Keep Inn hallways cleaned, dusted, and vacuumed
- Communicate with front desk regarding any guest issue or requests
- Attend staff training sessions and meetings as needed
- Complete special projects outlined by the Housekeeping/Inn manager
- Keep an up-to-date inventory of bellman items
Skills and Requirements:
- Good physical health. Will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule.
- Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 25 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire and willingness to work as a team and within other departments
- Personal maturity, sound judgement, motivation, and integrity
- Timing flexible
