Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Railroad Track Maintenance Specialist to join our team of track laborers. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for conducting essential maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure the safe and efficient movement of trains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain trackbeds by removing and replacing ballast, tamping ballast, and assisting with the unloading of ballast from ballast cars
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to drive spikes, tighten or loosen track bolts, and use pullers to remove spikes
- Transport track materials and equipment using appropriate load/unload devices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) of either Class A or Class B. You should also have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Railroad Maintenance of Way work.
