What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Turning Center Operator position at Union Special?
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Turning Centers, ensuring accurate dimensional tolerances based on drawings. They will also monitor machine operations, rework and calibrate production parts or assemblies, and perform standard shop computations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prove out set-ups in accordance with specifications and design criteria
- Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds, and feeds of machining
- Use precision measuring instruments to maintain accurate dimensional tolerances
- Monitor machine operations to ensure efficient production
- Rework and calibrate production parts or assemblies and machine tooling as required
Requirements:
- Experience working with CNC Turning Centers
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Experience with various types of gauging
- Strong attention to detail and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to understand and follow safety requirements and cautions
- Ability to perform physical labor necessary for the job

Pay Rate: $16.62 - $20.62 per hour
