UTLX/Procor is a platform within Marmon Rail and is part of Marmon Holdings which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. We have a portfolio of three businesses in North America (tank car leasing, repair and manufacturing).

How We Do It
The Accounting Operations Platform Leader at UTLX/Procor plays a pivotal role in the financial operations of the organization, with the team’s primary focus on accounts receivable, cash application, credit, billing and accounts payable / T&E. With revenues of approximately $1.3 billion, this position is key to ensuring sustainable profitable growth. There will be three direct reports with a total team of fifteen.

Pay Range
120,000.00 - 200,000.00

The Accounting Operations Platform Leader at UTLX/Procor plays a pivotal role in the financial operations of the organization, with the team’s primary focus on accounts receivable, cash application, credit, billing and accounts payable / T&E. Position Responsibilities
- Serve as the key leader in the development of the accounting operations road map
- Responsible for leading system and process improvement across the organization, especially in the areas of Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, Credit, Billing and Accounts Payable / T&E.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day accounting operations across the finance organization through the management and execution of best practices in processes and systems
- Develop unified desktop procedures across the organization to enable better training across the organization
- Drive the implementation and enhancement of tools and technology in partnership with our systems team
- Provide critical input to members of senior management regarding the operational performance of the finance team, including recommendations for action and collaboratively developing operating policies and procedures to enable the attainment of corporate and business objectives
- Develop and report key operational metrics indicating the health of the finance operations
- Support all M&A finance operations integrations
- Leading, motivating, developing, and retaining a high-quality team
- Develop reporting KPIs, including operational and financial metrics
- Serve as a strategic business advisor and prepare ad-hoc reports and special analyses to facilitate management’s ability to understand business issues and drivers
- Implement internal controls and maintain SOX compliance
Education & Experience
- 15 years of progressive growth in financial management roles in high growth companies
- 10 years in a finance operations role, leading various finance operations functions
- Have built and led a world class Accounting Operations function
- Have built and executed against a vision for a newer function
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset a must
- CPA / MBA preferred
- Ability to operate independently and multi-task.
- A high degree of ownership, accountability, commitment, flexibility, self-motivation, self-confidence, and assertiveness.
- Leadership and people skills to lead, direct, influence, and motivate team members, peers, and executives. Ability to lead others in solving problems through a structured approach, emphasizing root cause analysis, corrective action, and decisive implementation.
