Job Summary
A bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in accordance with customer preferences and establishment standards. They often engage with customers, take orders, and handle cash transactions. Bartenders may also monitor bar inventory, restock supplies, and ensure a clean and organized work area. Excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills are essential in this role. 3. **Cash Handling:** Handling cash transactions, processing payments, and giving change accurately.
4. **Maintaining Cleanliness:** Keeping the bar area clean and organized, including washing glassware, utensils, and maintaining a hygienic workspace.
5. **Inventory Management:** Monitoring and managing bar inventory, restocking supplies, and notifying management when items are running low.
6. **Checking Identification:** Ensuring customers meet legal drinking age requirements and verifying identification when necessary.
7. **Adhering to Regulations:** Following legal regulations and policies related to the service of alcoholic beverages, including responsible service practices.
8. **Handling Bar Equipment:** Operating and maintaining bar equipment, such as taps, blenders, and cash registers.

Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience (preferred not required).
- Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred.
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification, or willing to obtain.
- TABC Certification or willing to obtain.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills.
- Works well with others.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
