Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the veterinarian.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with client communication regarding pet care.
- Provide basic grooming services as needed, including bathing and nail trimming.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and training techniques.
Skills
