Job Overview
The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration and a passion for fostering the growth and development of young learners. The candidate must have a Director Credential.
Duties
- Lead and manage the child care center, ensuring high-quality care and education for all children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and development.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff to ensure effective teaching practices and adherence to policies.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding child care operations.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community to promote engagement and support.
- Monitor children's progress and conduct assessments to tailor educational approaches to individual needs.
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, and record-keeping.
Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in education teaching or education administration is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working in a childcare setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community members.
