We are looking for an Industrial Automation Integration Engineer to ensure vendor compliance with our PLC to SCADA Integration Specifications and create the tools necessary to drive adoption and seamless integration with our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role puts you on the front lines, ensuring critical manufacturing equipment performs flawlessly during a record-setting production line deployment. Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration and implementation process ensuring vendor adherence to our detailed integration specification
- Develop and deploy internal tools and frameworks that support vendor onboarding, integration validation, and operational monitoring.
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct technical assessments to validate compliance with required capability sets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues swiftly.
- Conduct technical training sessions with internal teams and external vendors to communicate integration requirements and standards clearly.
- Ensure robust documentation and version control for all integration projects, maintaining clarity for continuous improvement and scalability.
- 2 years experience in PLC-SCADA systems integration, industrial automation, or related fields.
- Deep expertise with OPC UA implementations, PLC programming, and SCADA systems.
- Proven track record of developing tools/scripts/software to facilitate seamless equipment integration and validation.
- Familiarity with industry-standard protocols and PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens SIMATIC).
- Ability to clearly document and communicate technical specifications, integration processes, and project outcomes.
- Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time for vendor engagements and site implementations.
- Proficiency with Git and PLC version control tools.
- Experience in Go or Java.
- Experience with SCADA systems such as Ignition.
