Job Title: Full-Time Minimum Data Set (MDS) Specialist

Location: Washington, D.C.

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually

About the Role: Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Minimum Data Set (MDS) Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an active, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities, particularly with a focus on MDS coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive MDS assessments in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation and care planning.
• Review and analyze resident data to ensure compliance with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines.
• Provide training and support to nursing staff regarding MDS-related processes.
• Assist in the development of individualized care plans based on MDS assessments.
• Ensure the accurate and efficient submission of MDS reports to federal and state agencies.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility, focusing on MDS coordination.
• In-depth knowledge of the MDS process, including assessment, coding, and submission.
• Strong understanding of long-term care regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
