Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the meat, dairy, and bakery industries in the Midwest territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and organizations within these industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions and proposals that address client needs.
- Drive the sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring a seamless experience for the client.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Track and report sales activities using CRM software.
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet prospects and clients as necessary.
Job Qualifications:
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in selling casings and/or meat products.
- Consistently exceeds sales targets, contributing to significant company growth by identifying new opportunities and closing high-value deals.
- In-depth knowledge of either the meat, dairy, or bakery industries, with specialized expertise in the casings and meat products sector, an asset.
- Proficient in using CRM software, particularly Salesforce, to manage leads, track sales activities, and optimize opportunities.
- Self-motivated, independent, and driven to succeed, with the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with modern sales tools and technologies to maximize efficiency.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, enabling the development of long-term partnerships.
- Proven ability to effectively close deals, drive revenue, and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the Midwest region.
