What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Gas Settlements Analyst position at Uniper?
Your responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert for physical and financial gas settlements
- Perform reconciliation and settlement of all physical gas purchase and sales transactions
- Complete reconciliation and analysis of transportation and commodities costs
- Perform reconciliation of bank accounts
- Train and mentor new team members
- Lead process and control improvements including development of standard operating procedures
- Lead efforts to track and reduce operational issues
- Test and implementation of systems
- Lead automation projects for operational excellence
- Complete and file monthly crossborder reporting
- Assist with Audit requests and document gathering
- Assist as a backup for margin & confirmations as needed
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Math, Finance, Economics
- 5 – 10 years’ experience working in an energy trading organization in a back or middle office role. Experience with physical gas is required. Experience with power and derivatives is a plus.
