Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide support in medication administration as per prescribed guidelines and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in social activities and community involvement to enhance their social skills and overall quality of life.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, focusing on their strengths and preferences.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary, to facilitate movement and participation in activities.
- Document client progress and any changes in behavior or health status accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain a respectful and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence while providing necessary assistance.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or direct support roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Patient Care and Observation
