Site Supervisor

Unique Cleaning Service, Inc. is in search of Site Supervisors to serve one of our clients in North Little Rock,AR. The successful candidate will maintain the facility in a clean and orderly condition by performing routine maintenance functions. We are looking to fill this position with candidates that are detail and service oriented.

Job Summary:

Assist in the management and supervision of the daily operations of the janitorial staff.

Schedules:

Ist Shift: 9am-5pm

2nd Shift: 5pm-1am

3rd Shift: 1am-9am

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Participates in the hiring and training of janitorial staff.
• Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of janitorial staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Train new janitors regarding the proper methods necessary to maintain clean buildings, and provide update and refresher training to all janitors as needed.
• Oversee staff cleaning public areas, canteens, restrooms, drinking fountains, hospital corridors, outer buildings, and the parking deck
• Supervise the operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment, including preventive maintenance, and training of all janitors in proper safety practices for working with and around cleaning equipment and chemicals in all environments
• Performs quality control inspections to ensure compliance with scope of work and standards are being met
• Stock and maintain supplies and inventory.
• Provide hands-on support and the ability to perform work when necessary. This may include, but is not limited to: dust mopping, sweeping, stripping/refinishing, carpet extraction, servicing restrooms, window washing, etc.
• Ensure employees comply with company standards related to clocking in and out at the start and end of shift; monitor and approve timecards.
• On the job training for staff/employees to job-specific tasks.
• Participates in company and customer training ensuring effective communication and distribution of information to customers and employees.
• Assists with administrative tasks involving janitorial personnel as directed.
• Resolves customer complaints while ensuring management are kept informed while also attending staff meetings to discuss customer complaints.
• Complete weekly and monthly safety training for all employees, ensure employees understand all training and have signed off on the completion of the training.
• Supervises inventory of janitorial supply products.
• Performs the duties of the janitorial team in their absence.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience :

• Supervisors must have at least two years experience in supervising Janitorial Services. Supervisors must have AHE’s Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) or Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician Train-the-Trainer (T-CHEST)
• High School diploma or Equivalent
• At least 3 years janitorial experience including two years of supervisory level experience required.
• Ability to write detailed reports and operate housekeeping equipment required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
