Job Description: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate the efforts of the project team, including subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (owners, architects, engineers) to finalize project scope, timelines, and specifications
Procurement & Contract Management:
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure all procurement processes comply with legal and company standards.
Budget & Financial Management:
- Develop project budgets and track project expenses.
- Manage change orders, invoicing, and payments.
- Monitor project costs to ensure it remains within budget and report financial status to senior management.
Project Execution & Quality Control:
- Ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure construction activities comply with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Oversee the implementation of safety protocols on the job site.
Team Leadership & Communication:
- Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Manage project meetings, providing regular updates and addressing concerns or issues.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Address project issues and challenges, ensuring timely resolution.
Project Closeout & Documentation:
- Ensure all project closeout requirements are met (e.g., final inspections, punch list, and client handover).
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including contracts, change orders, meeting notes, and correspondence.
New Business:
- Assist with follow up on new business leads.
- Cultivate new client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management with a general contractor (preferred but not required).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and project management software (Contractor Foreman experience preferred).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk the job site, attend meetings, and use a computer.
Working Conditions:
- This position typically involves both office and on-site work.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
