Food Tour Guide

Job Overview:
Make your own schedule, meet people from around the world, and make an income having fun! As a Food Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing engaging and informative tours to visitors, showcasing the unique local business community, and foods downtown.

If you are a foodie, a people person, a story teller, and lover of Lancaster than this job is for you. This is how it works:

-Make your own schedule 2 months in advance.

-Get paid the same day or within 24 hours.

-Eat delicious food and have fun with local tourists.

****To Apply*** you will come on one of the walking food tours. Essencially the application is the interview. The host will show you how it works and you can get a good idea about if you can handle organizing groups. If you just want to come and watch that's great. If you want to enjoy the food on the tour during your "interview-application" you will pay the host $15. The tour is usually $65 for the public.

Other Duties
- Conduct 2 hour walking tours of downtown Lancaster providing visitors with interesting and educational information.
- Lead groups of varying sizes through predetermined routes, ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the tour.
- Deliver engaging narratives and stories to captivate tour participants about the lives and culture of local chefs and im
- Answer questions from visitors and provide additional information as needed
-Thoroughly review information provided for dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times, creating a positive experience for visitors

Qualifications:

-Self-sufficient! You will be working alone for 2 hours
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people
- Excellent time management skills to keep tours on schedule
- Proficient in public speaking with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Leadership qualities to guide and manage tour groups
- Knowledgeable about the history, culture, or attractions of the location
- Ability to educate visitors on relevant topics in an engaging manner

Training is 3 walking tours paid at a lower hourly rate. On the third tour, you will run it while the co-host watches you to ensure you are ready.
