Job Title: Process Technician
A. Job Purpose
- Achieve production goals utilizing the most efficient use of personnel and equipment.
- Ensure production safety, quality, and delivery requirements are met.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans for process management.
- Support the creation and maintenance of process and technology management system documents.
- Collaborate with the technical department on product formulas, standard processes, and process routes; help implement and train team members on new technical documents.
- Conduct on-site inspections to understand and address process issues; document findings and propose changes for review.
- Participate in the design, verification, and improvement of process equipment for new projects.
- Assist with regular inspections for process discipline and ensure compliance.
- Contribute to the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for material and labor hour quotas.
- Support trials for new processes, technologies, and products; help write test reports and manage process data.
- Monitor, record, and analyze actual production processes; conduct monthly reviews comparing actual vs. standard processes and analyze key product physical properties.
- Participate in raw and auxiliary material selection and process improvement discussions; provide feedback on improvement plans.
- Inspect and supervise the implementation of processes by the production team; intervene and escalate issues related to process violations.
- Attend and contribute to technical meetings, exchanges, and process improvement initiatives.
C. Working Conditions
- Must be available to work 8-hour shifts.
- Must be on-call for urgent process-related issues.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
D. Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment OR a two-year degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proficiency in Excel; SAP experience preferred.
- Experience in nonwoven production preferred. Extrusion or injection molding experience also considered.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math competency.
- Must demonstrate a positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
- Strong leadership abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality within team and management.
E. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
