Responsibilities
Key result areas (major duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities)
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial supply chain strategy to support the successful launch and sustained supply of uniQure’s gene therapy products.
- Build and scale an end-to-end supply chain function, including Operations procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
- Develop and deliver effective S&OP Process to align cross-functional teams and drive aligned business plans to improve Supply Planning, increase Service Levels, optimize inventory levels, and achieve our Financial Targets.
- Defines standards and approach for our business process management across Supply Chain.
- Oversee supply and demand planning to ensure on-time delivery and availability of commercial products.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with CMOs, CDMOs, logistics providers, and distributors to ensure supply chain efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Develop a standard set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive business results and to serve as early warning signs of problem performance e.g. inventory health, schedule adherence.
- Work with IT to identify and standardize a core set of information system solutions and data analytics platforms to digitalize uniQure’s supply chain processes.
- Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain strategies.
- Develop and manage relationships with key external partners, ensuring alignment on supply chain goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership on risk management, business continuity planning, and supply chain resilience.
- University degree in Technology, Engineering.
- A Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- APICS certification is strongly favored.
- 10 years of progressive experience leading biopharmaceutical Supply Chain management, a strong focus on gene therapy is preferred.
- 15 years (BA/BS) or 10 years (MS) in various Supply Chain, Project Management, and Manufacturing functions
- Proven track record of launching commercial products, including building and scaling supply chain functions.
- Extensive experience managing CMOs, CDMOs, and distribution chain partners.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements for gene therapy commercialization, with direct experience in regulatory agency interactions.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strategic and hands-on approach
- Solid experience in developing and directing Operational Excellence function as well as depth in process design across E2E supply chain spectrum.
- Strong discernment and problem-solving capabilities, with direct, applied experience in Supply Chain.
