Purpose and Scope:
- The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management and control within a warehouse or distribution center. This position involves supervising a team of inventory control specialists, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities related to inventory management, including receiving, storage, cycle counting, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
- Lead and supervise a team of inventory control specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to inventory control procedures.
- Implement inventory control procedures and best practices to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory levels.
- Continuously evaluate inventory management processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement process enhancements to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and reduce errors in inventory management.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor inventory levels, shelf life, and product condition to prevent stockouts, overstock situations, and product obsolescence.
- Generate reports and perform analysis of inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
- Provide regular updates to management on inventory performance, discrepancies, and corrective actions.

Requirements
Job Competency / Qualifications
Education/ Training:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency with inventory management and ERP software, including the ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and equipment, including best practices for efficient warehouse operations.
- Experience with quality control procedures and conducting inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to create detailed reports and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
- Familiarity with process improvement techniques like Lean and Six Sigma to enhance inventory management efficiency.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or related field, with at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
