What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Supervisor position at UNIS?
This is not your average warehouse. We move fast, handle massive volumes, and deal with constant challenges. If you don't have thick skin, a strong work ethic, and the ability to stay positive under pressure — this job is not for you. If you can’t work more than 8 hours when needed or if attitude is a struggle, please do not apply.
We are looking for an experienced Receiving Supervisor to join our extremely fast-paced, high-volume e-commerce and distribution center. This is a high-pressure building that requires strong, seasoned leadership and the ability to manage through chaos while keeping things moving. You must know your way around put-aways, warehouse flow, equipment, and people management. We need problem-solvers who don’t flinch when things get tough — because they will.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate the receiving team to accurately and efficiently process high volumes of incoming shipments.
Oversee and enforce effective put-away strategies — speed, accuracy, and space optimization are key.
Maintain accountability for inventory accuracy, stock levels, and documentation.
Work closely with logistics, outbound, and inventory control to resolve issues on the fly.
Operate in a hands-on manner — expect to jump in and help with equipment and labor when needed.
Train, coach, and correct staff as needed — attitude and urgency matter here.
Ensure safety compliance while maintaining relentless productivity expectations.
Engage with 3PLs and carriers to ensure tight inbound coordination.
Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues daily — from missing pallets to broken scanners.
What You Bring:
Proven leadership experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment (e-commerce experience strongly preferred).
Expertise in receiving, put-away, and inventory control processes.
Strong people management skills with a no-nonsense approach — you hold the team accountable.
Comfortable working long hours in a demanding environment — this role is not 9-to-5.
Forklift experience (certification a plus).
Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically active role.
A "whatever it takes" mindset and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Must be able to drive Stand up and lift trucks
Must be on time
Must have 5 years of experience.
