Logistics and Documentation Manager

UniSea is looking for a Logistics and Documentation Manager to join our Redmond, WA team!

Basic Function

Responsible for analyzing, planning, coordination and monitoring all aspects of logistics and documentation operations for the company.

Essential Duties

• Coordinate with Alaska Production to schedule logistics for domestic and export sales contracts.
• Maintain product knowledge on all items to ensure they are effectively marketed to customers.
• Assist with creating and maintaining Sales contracts and documentation. Responsible for creating and sending customer logistics documentation and billing invoices.
• Coordinate with Sales Administrators, Finished Goods operations and outside suppliers in arranging warehousing and shipping seafood products to customers and warehouse locations.
• Report any product recall or spoilage issues to Company.
• Analyze logistics options to move products worldwide efficiently.
• Negotiate freight and rate contracts with various carriers and cold storages.
• Oversee cargo movements and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Responsible for handling marine insurance claims and settling with the insurance company.
• Complete monthly logistics and documentation reporting. Coordinate with auditors and provide all required documentation during annual audits.
• Supervise and train Logistics & Documentation personnel.

• Perform other duties as required.
• Occasional out of state travel may be required.
  
  

Position Requirements

• Four-year bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Management and/or Marketing, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 4-6 years' experience in manufacturing, sales, or logistics required. Previous work experience in the seafood industry is preferred but not required.
• Previous management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Must have previous data entry experience and strong attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to analyze market conditions, sales situations and production schedules.
  
  

Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, as well as experience using Adobe Pro.

This is a Salaried Exempt position with a starting salary between $94,395 - $113,290 per year.
