Basic Function : Supervise department employees. Ensure that all internal customers of maintenance receive timely, efficient and quality service. Responsible for short and long term planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities. Analyze workload schedules, balance against employee availability, prioritize activities, prepare workload schedules, assure availability of required repair parts and review schedules to meet changing priorities. Participate in the development and application of data processing technology to assist in maintenance planning, scheduling and budgeting. Manage maintenance supervisors and oversee workloads.Essential Duties : Select, train and supervise department employees; evaluate performance to assure adherence to performance standards, taking corrective action as required. Maintain awareness of employee needs and concerns and take steps necessary to maintain good employee relations.Ensure that all maintenance departments are in compliance with State and Federal regulations governing employee safety and health, equipment design and operation, food safety and security, Environmental Compliance and PSM (Process Safety Management).Analyze workloads, availability of skilled employees, work-space and technical requirements; select and prioritize maintenance. Activities will periodically generate material requests for maintenance materials, parts and for new items. Must be able to resolve purchasing problems related to the material requests. Will release all material requests based upon the approval by Maintenance Director.Prepare and monitor workload schedules including projections on available technicians for major repairs, overhauls and reviews compliance with projected target dates, revising schedules as required. Monitor work progress by comparing completion rates with schedules and provide reports of all active and pending jobs to Director.Plan, review, implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs on all plant equipment and buildings. Oversee maintenance supervisors with short term scheduling for effective day-to-day shop management.Implement and maintain the Every Day Focus continuous improvement culture throughout all Maintenance departments.Review work records for reporting accuracy, supervise the updating and maintenance of such records in Maintenance Data Management System.Assist with maintenance and reliability initiatives focused on preventative and predictive technologies, not reactive.Secondary Duties : Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Management, or related field required or equivalent experience.Two to Four years experience in maintenance planning in a supervisory role.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Must possess good communication and organizational skills as well as excellent customer service skills.Ability to interact in a positive manner with diverse cultures in a team environment.This is a salaried non-exempt position with a salary of $94,395 – $113,290 per year.To Apply : Submit a copy of your resume to jobs@unisea.comUniSea is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
