Job Description
UniSea, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance department and ensure the smooth operation of our production facility in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Responsibilities:
- Select, train, and supervise department employees to ensure adherence to performance standards and good employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations governing employee safety and health, equipment design and operation, food safety and security, Environmental Compliance, and PSM (Process Safety Management).
- Analyze workloads, availability of skilled employees, work-space, and technical requirements; select and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Prepare and monitor workload schedules, including projections on available technicians for major repairs, overhauls, and reviews compliance with projected target dates.
- Plan, review, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs on all plant equipment and buildings.
- Review work records for reporting accuracy and supervise the updating and maintenance of such records in the Maintenance Data Management System.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Management, or related field required.
- 2-4 years experience in maintenance planning and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Able to interact positively with diverse cultures in a team environment.
