What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations Scheduler position at Uniseal/ LG Chem?
Basic Function:
The MRO Scheduler is responsible for every aspect of maintenance work order planning, scheduling, and inventory management as it relates to MRO-related items, maintenance parts, maintenance workshop supplies, and equipment. This includes inventory management, procuring, and stocking maintenance parts and supplies. In addition, he or she is responsible for supporting the administrative, document creation, and recordkeeping needs of the Engineering and Maintenance departments, as well as any other job the Engineering Manager deems necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Create and maintain maintenance work order system to provide maintenance technicians with full schedule work requirements each week
- Order and obtain parts locally for the Engineering and Maintenance Departments.
- Manage Maintenance and Engineering inventories/develop scanning system, including removal of obsolete items
- Manage vendor-controlled inventories to reasonable levels
- Monitor company equipment repairs and operating hours to develop predictive maintenance schedule
- Temporary Function Team (TFT) Member for Uniseal’s MRO procurement system transition to LG system.
- Catalogue maintenance guide program updates and manage GPortal approvals as directed
- Maintain maintenance database (item numbers and vendors for all parts, consumables, paints, machinery)
- Create equipment labels
Education & Experience:
Minimum of an Associate's degree or a High School Diploma with 5 years of experience in a similar role required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with office experience preferred.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and organization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and perform duties with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus
