Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist

Unison Health is seeking a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist. This position provides mental health interventions to assigned clients with severe and persistent mental illness who require individual community based rehabilitative services and / or group rehabilitative services to maximize the reduction of symptoms of mental illness in order to restore clients to the highest level of functioning.
Education / Experience / Other Requirements :
- Requires an associate degree in social work, psychology or related field.
- Will consider high school degree or equivalent with comparable experience.
- Prior experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness, crisis management and the ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and make recommendations.
- Must demonstrate positive attitude, commitment to provide superior services and enthusiastic support for the mission of the agency.
- Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must demonstrate the ability to represent the agency in a positive manner when in the community.
- Must be able to work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile individuals.
