Job Description: Under general supervision, works with adults with developmental disabilities in the client’s home. Observes, documents, and reports resident behavior/progress on an ongoing basis. Trains and assists residents in basic daily living skills; maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
Anticipated Schedule: This position may require weekend and other non-traditional hours. 29 hours a week.
Competencies: Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior; ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills; ability to work flexible hours; ability to participate in supportive guidance. Must be proficient with computers.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, 6 months of social service experience and must be at least 21 years old with 3 years driving experience (to transport). CNA and/or experience with home visiting and/or working with the developmentally delayed population preferred but not required. Preference will be given to applicants who are bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish.
