Job Description: Under general supervision, monitors male residents with developmental disabilities in a residential/home life environment in a 24-hour/7-day facility. Observes, documents, and reports resident behavior/progress on an ongoing basis. Trains and assists residents in basic daily living skills. Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment. Duties include taking vitals, assisting with medications, daily living skills, and community outings.
Job Schedule: Will work 29 hours per week. Hours for this position will wary and may include night shift work.
Competencies: Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior; ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills; ability to work flexible hours; ability to participate in supportive guidance. Must be proficient with computers.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years old to apply. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record with less than 6 points. CNA certification preferred. 6 months of social service experience. Must be able to lift with no restrictions for client care. Experience with home visiting and/or working with the developmentally delayed population preferred but not required.
