Job Description: Assists adult client enrolled in a day program with daily life, social and academic skills and/or behavior management training. Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents. Serves as role model and provides emotional support and feedback to client & their support system.
Anticipated Schedule: Will work Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3 pm.
Competencies: Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior; ability to redirect behavioral outbursts; ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills; ability to work flexible hours; ability to participate in supportive guidance. Must be proficient with computers.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience providing social or direct care services to group of special needs individuals in a human services setting, OR associate degree in a related field with one year of applicable experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license with three years driving experience to provide transportation and have a clean driving record with no more than 6 points.
