ACT Registered Nurse - Wood County
Full Time opportunity available for experienced nurse to perform duties such as physical and mental health assessments, medication administration and education, and direct care service to clients in an outpatient, community, and residential treatment setting. Position will work one 8-hour dayshift in an outpatient setting and four 8-hour dayshifts in the in a community setting in Bowling Green, supporting Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and outpatient clients.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Requires associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous psychiatric experience is preferred.
- This position requires current RN license from the State of Ohio. Certification as a psychiatric nurse is preferred.
- Must demonstrate comfort in interacting with individuals with mental illness.
- Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Maintains organization of Bowling Green Outpatient Medication Room to include collaborating with pharmacy to order meds, manage sample medications and monitor expirations.
- Participates in ACT team meetings; provides care to assigned ACT clients in various settings both in office and in the community, depending on the needs of the ACT client.
- Provides crisis intervention and assesses each patient’s mental and physical health, identifying needs and interventions needed to develop a nursing care plan. Collaborates with other disciplines on the crisis staff including providers, therapists, technicians and peers.
- Provides emergency first aid to clients.
- Acts as liaison between physician and other caregivers.
- Obtains Wood County Health Officer status within 60 days of hire and maintains throughout employment in this position.
