Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist

Pay starting at $23/Hour.

Unison Health is seeking a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist. This position provides mental health interventions to assigned clients with severe and persistent mental illness who require individual community based rehabilitative services and/or group rehabilitative services to maximize the reduction of symptoms of mental illness in order to restore clients to the highest level of functioning.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Requires an associate degree in social work, psychology or related field.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience preferred.
- Knowledge of accessing behavioral health services in Lucas County.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness, crisis management and the ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and make recommendations.
- Must demonstrate positive attitude, commitment to provide superior services and enthusiastic support for the mission of the agency.
- Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must demonstrate the ability to represent the agency in a positive manner when in the community.
- Must be able to work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile individuals.
Primary Duties:
- Provides Therapeutic Behavioral Services to an assigned caseload of clients in accordance with the State mandates and established Agency and program policies, procedures, philosophy, and client individual service plan.
- Documents all services provided and maintains records utilizing the electronic record in accordance with agency policy/procedure.
- Maintains client confidentiality and ensures release of information is handled in accordance with federal guidelines and agency policy/procedures.
- Participates in team meetings, supervision, in-service training and conferences according to established policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
