Director, Respite Program

This role will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of a statewide respite care program. This role involves strategic planning, program design, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality respite services. The Director will oversee the integration of technology solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage cross-functional teams. Additionally, the Director will monitor program performance, engage with community organizations and healthcare providers, and advocate for the program's sustainability and expansion across the state. The role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:   

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or healthcare preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in any of project management, business services, healthcare services, or respite care services preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing large-scale programs, preferred in the health or social services field.
  • Experience with technology integration, project management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to healthcare and respite services preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, state healthcare policies, and social services landscape preferred.
  • Familiarity with the development and implementation of technology platforms in healthcare or social services.
  • Willingness to travel statewide as needed.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive statewide respite program that effectively meets the needs of caregivers and individuals requiring respite services.
  •  Oversee the creation of a centralized, streamlined system for respite care scheduling, resource management, and tracking.
  •  Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, advocacy groups, and government agencies to align the respite program with local needs and resources.
  •  Lead cross-functional teams, including healthcare professionals, IT specialists, and community outreach staff.
  •  Establish clear performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the program.
  •  Stay informed on relevant policy developments at the state and federal levels to ensure the program aligns with the latest regulatory requirements and best practices.
