Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster
Job Summary: SISCO is currently searching for a remote Senior Claims Adjuster. This position is responsible for investigating and manage all aspects of Workers' Compensation claims, primarily in Delaware and Maryland, in accordance with jurisdictional requirements to the best possible resolution.
A Day In The Life
- Review, examine, investigate, and analyze indemnity workers' compensation claims.
- Investigate compensability issues, including taking recorded statements.
- Determine compensability.
- Coordinate medical treatment for injured employees and provide information to treating physicians regarding employee's medical history, health issues, and job requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between medical providers, employees, and employer departments; and inform departments of an injured employee's work restrictions and coordinate appropriate accommodations.
- File appropriate jurisdictional forms.
- Prepare claim summaries and attend quarterly claim review meetings with employers.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with assigned clients through timely communication to client.
- High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
- Two to three years of experience performing the duties of this position or one with similar requirements.
- Possess or able to obtain a Delaware Workers' Compensation license.
- Demonstrate the capacity to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Possess flexibility, adaptability, and motivation to contribute to a growing organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance workloads efficiently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
