We have an opening for the Electrical Technician position which is described below.
Title: Electrical Technician
Department: Production
Reports To: Shop Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary: This individual will perform electrical duties, repair, test, and troubleshoot, utilizing electrical blueprints and various tools.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Conduit equipment to meet customer requirements.
- Installation of new electrical wiring and systems.
- Wire process and control equipment using electrical blueprints.
- Provide support to Testing Technician during equipment testing.
- Perform building maintenance issued by management.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes, preferred.
- Compliance with all OSHA and company safety and electrical regulations including Lock Out-Tag Out and Arc Flash protection.
- Calibrate switches, meters, and analyzers.
- Work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Stay current with changing technology, including software and position/industry specific programs.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED, some technical school training preferred.
- Two or more years’ experience as an Electrical Technician or comparable proven work experience highly desired.
- Knowledge in the fields of electronics, electrical wiring, electrical instrumentation, mechanical process equipment, and building maintenance required.
- A strong electro-mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical blueprints and troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components highly desirable.
- Experienced electrician with knowledge of NEC and applying the code to installation of conduit and wire for process equipment, highly desired.
- A valid State Journeyman Electrician license, desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
