What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Music Instructor: Drums and Guitar position at Unison Studios?
Unison Studios: Music Academy aims to employ instructors who can deliver quality instruction based on their education and/or experience. We are a collaborative group dedicated to continually enhancing our instruction, providing performing opportunities, and growing our tight-knit community.

Job Details:
- Lesson Planning: Create engaging/inviting lessons for all ages and levels.
- Patience and Understanding: Capable of working with all ages and skill levels.
- Event Participation: Attend most recitals/events, usually held on Saturdays.
- Makeup Lessons, Rescheduled Lessons, Cancellations: Must provide a notice at least 24-hours in advance. All makeup lessons will be arranged based on your availability. If needed, the owner can handle client communication. Same-day notices due to emergencies will not be held against an instructor.
Availability:
- Minimum of 5 hours per week.
- Mon. - Thurs: 3:30 PM - 8:00 PM
- Friday: 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM
- Morning Hours are available
- Saturdays: Available at the instructor’s request
- 5th day(s) of a month will be used for make-up lessons or time off.
Requirements:
No formal Education, but 1 year of private lesson experience (accepted)
Music Ed. University Students (preferred)
- Resume, with references (if possible)
- Recommendation Letter (if no resume)
Bachelors & Higher with an emphasis on your main instrument (preferred)
Bachelors & Higher State-Certified (preferred)
Pay Rate
- $35/hour - $45/hour No formal music education but with 1 year experience
- $40/hour - $45/hour University Music Education or Performance Student
- $45/hour Bachelor or Higher with an emphasis on your main instrument
