What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Partnership Team Manager position at Unison?
About the role:
As the Home Partnership Team Manager, you will lead the customer-facing associates that work with our homeowners on everything from basic servicing to complex asset management challenges. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, working with Product teams to improve and expand our asset management portal, and helping shape the future direction of the department.
This is a hybrid position with a requirement of 3 full days in our Omaha, Nebraska office.
Responsibilities:
- Be an expert on our company culture and brainstorm ways to reflect this in your team.
- Have a thorough understanding of Unison’s contract with homeowners, and how we balance enforcing our fiduciary obligation to investors with the real world needs of homeowners.
- Have built relationships with your peers across Unison, and understand their needs and how they work with the Home Partnership Team.
- Review and approve asset management and servicing cases, providing guidance and feedback as needed to your teams.
- Begin to manage basic and complex asset management challenges to find the best solution for both our homeowners and investors.
- Begin to initiate and manage your own improvement projects - the Home Partnership Team is always developing better ways to serve homeowners.
- Have an understanding of how Unison is revolutionizing residential real estate.
- Begin building relationships with your amazing team and cross-functional partners.
- Have a basic understanding of Unison’s contract with homeowners, and how we enforce our fiduciary obligation to investors while balancing the needs of homeowners.
- Be able to navigate our proprietary asset management system and our proprietary investment analysis tools
About you:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels within an organization including executives, investors, homeowners, and partners.
- Professional and approachable presence, energetic and friendly, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-starter with good problem-solving skills.
- Leverage technology and other resources available to maximize efficiency of home partnership team members.
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through; perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to balance a precise, analytical, approach to homeowner and investor challenges, while balancing it with empathy and a value-add mindset.
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite skills.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Previous start-up and/or finance and/or real estate experience a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.
