Essential Functions & Responsibilities (definition Of Job)
- Conduct independent product release activities to ensure purchase order requirements are met and authorize shipment to the delegating organization.
- Verify supplier documentation and check all shipment documentation, including Purchase Orders, Certificates of Conformity, routers, test data, and final stamps.
- Perform visual inspections (marking, appearance, condition) and check dimensional characteristics as allowed by the customer.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Work Instruction X0330 and complete the SAE International AS13001 Delegated Product Release Verification Training.
- Ensure the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) has been approved by the customer and complete checks of previously identified non-conformities.
- Verify that packaging requirements are communicated and met and generate and sign Certificates of Conformity.
- Recognize the roles and responsibilities of the product release delegate according to customer requirements.
- Train less experienced team members and cross-train within the department to support manufacturing operations across departments and product lines.
- Work closely with the Quality team and actively participate as a careful selection panel member.
- Pass an annual eye exam specific to the job title and perform other duties as assigned.
- Actively participate in a team environment that utilizes lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes, while meeting AS9117 Delegated Product Release Verification requirements and demonstrating the highest moral, ethical, and legal standards.
- Must have final inspection experience and be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and other applications, as well as possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
