What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Fitness Instructor position at Unit Strength Training?
Duties
- Lead fitness classes and provide instruction to participants in various exercise disciplines group fitness like-
High intensity classes to build lean muscle, functional strength, endurance and burn fat. These Fun and challenging 45–60-minute workouts combine strength training with dumbbells, kettlebells and body weight exercises and cardio using battle ropes, slam balls and other equipment.
- Design and implement fitness programs tailored to the needs and goals of participants
- Educate participants on proper body mechanics and techniques to prevent injuries
- Provide modifications and adjustments to exercises based on individual needs and abilities
- Motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals
- Create a positive and inclusive environment for all participants
Experience
- Previous experience as a fitness instructor or related role
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology and body mechanics
- Proficiency in teaching various exercise disciplines such as dance, Pilates, yoga, cycle, and group fitness
- Ability to design and modify fitness programs to meet the needs of diverse populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in a relevant fitness discipline is preferred

Pay: $22.74 - $30.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed

- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Group fitness: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- AED Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Personal Trainer (Required)
