The Enrollment Specialist will be the point of contact for unions, employers and Fund staff leading up to and during enrollment periods. The specialist is responsible for managing the tasks associated with onboarding of new contracts, changing contracts, and annual enrollments. This position leads cross-functional teams across multiple departments to ensure that onboarding tasks are completed with timeliness and create positive member and bargaining party experiences. The specialist will provide subject matter expertise for onboarding of new and existing CBAs and enrollment guidelines/processes.

Essential Job Functions And Duties

  • Oversees tasks associated with onboarding new employers and plan open enrollments to provide quality assurance and to ensure that tasks are completed timely
  • Facilitates and leads strategy meetings for onboarding of new employers, contract changes, plan changes, and open enrollment, etc.
  • Oversees the creation, distribution, and maintenance of enrollment materials
  • Provides direction for set-up of online enrollment, and ensures the set-up is accurate
  • Troubleshoots and escalates issues/concerns
  • Debriefs leadership on each enrollment project
  • Oversees day-to-day maintenance of Online Enrollment Portal
  • Reviews contract information distributed by Legal to ensure Online Enrollment Portal is updated appropriately
  • Assures accurate and timely reporting of potential new business and enrollments
  • Updates and maintains all work management platforms that help share enrollment and potential new business information to Fund staff and external partners
  • Provides subject matter expertise regarding enrollment
  • Provides knowledge transfer and support to the Fund when establishing new Plan Units or making changes to existing Plan Units
  • Creates and maintains documents of enrollment processes and terminology
  • Acts as point of contact for unions, employers, and Fund staff (e.g., Participant Engagement, Member Services, etc.)
  • Provides enrollment status and other requested reports to stakeholders
  • Provides benefit disruption reports to external stakeholders (e.g., Unions, employers, etc.)
  • Oversees fulfillment of enrollment materials to all required stakeholders
  • Aids in answering questions that external parties may have leading up to and during enrollment
  • Trains internal staff and external stakeholders to use the Online Enrollment Portal
  • Schedules and conducts educational orientations and/or demos regarding enrollment and onboarding
  • Attends and provides support for enrollment events conducted by unions, employers, and Fund staff
  • Demonstrates the Fund’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) principles in their conduct at work and contributes to a safe inclusive culture with equitable opportunities for success and career growth

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 ~ 4 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge and experience in enrolling, onboarding, and collaborating with members in a health insurance environment
  • Experience working with low-income immigrant communities and/or with unions strongly preferred
  • Basic database experience a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • The ability to travel 10% ~ 15% as needed for events

Salary range for this position: Salary $54,100 - $66,200. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.

Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday~Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) with potential for hybrid work-from-home arrangement.

Salary : $54,100 - $66,200
