While hospitality workers bore the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 1% have only gotten richer. But workers across the country are organizing and fighting back. We need your help to build working class power in the Petersburg area!
UNITE HERE Local 23 is looking for individuals who are passionate about fighting for justice for hospitality workers to join us for our Organizing Apprenticeship. The start date is flexible (though sooner is better). Organizing experience is neither required nor preferred. Good candidates will be flexible, sociable, reliable, and dedicated.
This apprenticeship will train you on basic and advanced organizing skills through engaging in organizing conversations and close work with our staff organizers. You will learn to organize people to stand up for their rights and build worker-led committees to take on multinational corporations.

Our goal is to not only organize non-union workers and win campaigns, but also to train effective progressive labor leaders and organizers who can develop creative and strategic campaigns to change the economic balance of power in North America.
You must have the ability to work in the Petersburg area. Flexibility in scheduling preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

- Evenings as needed
- Nights as needed
- Weekends as needed
