Patient Access Representative
As the Patient Access Representative, you’ll be the first friendly face patients see when they walk through our doors. You’ll create a welcoming environment, guide patients through check-in, answer calls, and ensure everything runs smoothly at the front desk. Beyond that, you’ll play a key role in coordinating referrals and educating patients on Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) equipment, helping them take the next steps toward better sleep.
What You’ll Be Doing
Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
Check patients in for appointments, verify insurance, and collect any necessary paperwork.
Answer phone calls, assist with scheduling, and provide accurate information about our services.
Coordinate and process referrals from physicians, ensuring timely follow-ups.
Educate patients on Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT), walking them through how to use the equipment and what to expect.
Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, patient chart updates, and maintaining organized records.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role is preferred.
A friendly and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Comfort with educating patients about medical equipment and procedures (we’ll provide training!).
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
