*Surface Grinder - Tool and Die Maker * We are currently seeking experienced Manual Machinists for 1st Shift to join our great team of experienced tool makers. This position requires an individual who is able work independently and is highly ambitious. This position will be responsible for finish surface grinding machined parts by setting up and operating various manual and CNC grinding machines while maintaining quality, safety standards, records and equipment. You will be asked to verify your competency by presenting a descriptive portfolio of your parts and experience.
*Full Job Description:* * Set-up, adjust and operate basic machine tools to perform precision machining operations. o This includes aligning and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories or materials onto the machine. * Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. o Measure, examine or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications. * Document actions by completing required paperwork * Perform minor mechanical and assembly work as needed * Share expertise and knowledge throughout the machine shop. * Follow all safety policies and procedures always. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment * Perform other duties as assigned. *Minimum Qualifications:* * High school diploma/GED * 10 years machining experience with advanced knowledge of machining operations such as grinders, SIP’s, Wire EDMs * Must understand basic math and dimensions/tolerances. * Ability to read blueprints, engineering plans, procedure manuals and work instructions. * Forklift / Crane certified * Ability to lift 50 lbs. *Preferred Experience:* * 15 years of manual machining skills * MasterCam wire knowledge * Experience with GDT and CMM inspection methods * SPC, Lean MFG and Process Improvement *Wage & Benefits:* * Competitive pay ranging depending on experience and skill level * Convenient work hours – 6:30am-3:00pm (Overtime as needed) * 100% Company paid benefits – Health, Dental, Vision * Paid Time Off for – Vacations, Holidays, Personal Days * Company paid hardware and software training * Brand New state of the art, air conditioned manufacturing plant
