Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Career Services Coordinator to join our team. The Career Services Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting students and graduates in their career development journey. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others succeed, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a strong network of employer connections within the local community. As a Career Services Coordinator, you will provide career guidance, facilitate job placements, and foster relationships with employers to ensure our graduates are prepared to enter the workforce with confidence.
Job Description:
1. Career Advising:
· Provide individualized career counseling and guidance to students and graduates, including resume writing assistance, interview preparation, job search strategies, and career goal setting.
2. Job Placement:
· Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities and facilitate job placements for students and graduates in relevant industries.
3. Employer Outreach:
· Proactively reach out to employers to promote Unitech Training Academy's programs, advocate for our graduates, and build partnerships for job placements.
4. Networking:
· Attend industry events, job fairs, and community meetings to network with employers, industry professionals, and other stakeholders to expand job opportunities for students and graduates.
5. Career Workshops:
· Organize and facilitate workshops and seminars on topics related to career development, professional networking, and job search strategies to enhance students' employability skills.
6. Alumni Engagement:
· Maintain communication with alumni to provide ongoing support, career resources, and networking opportunities to assist them in advancing their careers.
7. Data Management:
· Maintain accurate records of student and graduate employment outcomes, including job placements, salaries, and employer feedback, to track program effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. Resource Development:
· Identify and develop resources and materials to support career development initiatives, such as job boards, resume templates, and career guides tailored to the needs of our students and graduates.
9. Collaboration:
· Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other departments to integrate career development activities into the curriculum and ensure alignment with program objectives.
10. Professional Development:
· Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in career services through participation in professional development opportunities, conferences, and training programs.
11. Ethics and Integrity:
· Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all interactions with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Unitech Training Academy's policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required (Relevant work experience will be considered).
2. Experience in career services, counseling, recruitment, or related field, preferably in a higher education or vocational training setting.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with students, graduates, employers, and community partners.
4. Knowledge of career development theories, job search strategies, resume writing, and interview techniques.
5. Proven ability to develop and execute successful job placement strategies and initiatives.
6. Demonstrated experience in employer outreach, networking, and relationship building.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with career services management systems or SIS software preferred.
8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
9. Strong public speaking and presentation skills.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
