Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Instructor to support students in achieving their career goals. The Instructor will be responsible for the planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. This position involves teaching day and/or evening classes at Unitech Training Academy, ensuring students receive the support and guidance they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Delivery:
- Implement daily lesson plans aligned with course objectives.
- Administer exams, grade assignments, and maintain an accurate grade book.
- Classroom Management:
- Create an engaging and orderly classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Supervise and provide instruction in scheduled lab sessions.
- Communication and Support:
- Advise students on academic progress and provide regular updates.
- Contact absent students and document all communication in the SIS.
- Issue and review monthly progress reports with students.
- Policy Adherence:
- Enforce Unitech’s policies and procedures.
- Follow OSHA and HIPAA regulations in all relevant activities.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with advances in the field.
- Ensure the proper use of instructional resources provided by publishers.
- Collaboration and Engagement:
- Attend staff meetings and other organization-sponsored events.
- Implement field trips and other hands-on learning experiences.
- Additional Duties:
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude to set an example for students.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience in the instructional discipline.
- Approved certification or licensure in the relevant field as mandated by the Louisiana Board of Regents for state approval.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
