We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as an Employment Specialist assisting and supporting people with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining community employment. Working through our established business partners and networking with potential employers, you will work collaboratively to assist our clients in job placement and maintaining employment. Collaborating with other team members, you will:
- Interview candidates, assess vocational interests, and develop a vocational profile
- Identify opportunities in preferred area of work
- Survey community employers for job openings and arrange interviews
- Assist candidate with job interview skills training
- Track job performance one placed in employment and provide job coaching when needed
- Conduct employee/employer satisfaction assessment
- Complete required documentation
Applicant general qualifications include:
- High school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful completion of motor vehicle screening
