Early Childhood Music Teacher

United Academy of Music & Arts is seeking a compassionate and engaging Early Childhood Music Teacher to provide in-home music instruction to young children, including those with special needs. This is an employee position offering flexible part-time hours with opportunities for growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate music lessons tailored to each child’s unique needs and abilities in their homes.
• Adapt teaching methods to support children with special needs, demonstrating compassion, flexibility, and creativity.
• Incorporate a variety of musical activities, such as singing, rhythm exercises, movement, and playing simple instruments, to inspire curiosity and learning.
• Build positive relationships with children and their families to ensure a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
• Monitor and communicate each student’s progress effectively with parents or guardians.

Requirements:

• Strong musical background, with proficiency in singing, basic piano or guitar, and knowledge of music theory.
• Experience teaching or working with young children, including those with special needs.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to the unique learning styles and behavioral needs of children with compassion and flexibility.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with children and families.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students’ homes.
• Ability to manage a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
