Technical Operations/Maintenance
Technical Operations includes the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more
Job overview and responsibilities
- Monitors the health of United Aircraft through multiple applications
- Troubleshoots fault messages and trend analysis
- Researching all available technical data for correct troublshooting and repair procedures, including AMM/FIM/WDM/SSM/TSM/FTD's/EA's/ECRA's/AD's and more
- Identify tooling, parts, software for correct effectivity
- Creates accurate technical work orders for chronic and in depth troubleshooting and system recovery
- Continuous live monitoring of United Airlines aircraft for operational health and servicablility
- Continuous trend monitoring of aircraft systems for system degradation
- Research of all available technical data resources for creating precise, accurate, technical work orders/callouts
- Audit AHM generated work orders for final fix or further troubleshooting requirements
- Participate in daily Op's and leadership calls to discuss AHM priorities, troubleshooting plans, possible
- operational disruptions and any parts availability concerns
- Coordinate with various departments, Reliability, Engineering, Mx Control, Planning etc. to ensure a solid recovery plan is in place for AHM created work orders
- Research Aircraft MEL's, for complete and accurate recovery plans
- Partner with other groups for development of emerging technologies for future alert development
Required
- A&P License or Engineering Degree
- 5 years Aircraft Maintence or Aviation Systems Engineering experience
- Aircraft Systems Maintenance
- Strong knowledge of United Aircraft manuals systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams and aircraft system schematics
- Related Sceptre experience
- Strong background in Microsoft office applications Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams
- Statistical analysis
- Oral and written communication
- Lead presentations
- Ability to work alone without supervision and in groups
- Time Management skills
- Ability to work all shifts (Days or Nights), 12hr days, weekdays, weekends and Holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Airworthiness Release Authorization on Uniteds fleet of aircraft
- Broad knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations
- Experience in Diagnosing aircraft systems defects
- Expertise in aircraft systems on United Boeing and Airbus fleets
