Our United Cargo team is at the forefront of propelling our global economy by using our extensive route network to quickly transport our customers’ shipments to and from virtually every major market in the world! As a Digital Transformation Specialist - Hybrid, you’ll help us enable significant revenue opportunity for our Cargo team by contributing to the development & implementation of our digital distribution channel.
- Contribute to the planning and development of distribution channel strategy to ensure United Cargo remains competitive and relevant in the digital technology space
- Identify and action opportunities to enhance United's presence and performance in high priority channels (i.e. web, direct connect, transportation management system and digital marketplace)
- Partner with key stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve desired results
- Implement new web functionality, facilitate direct connect capabilities with select freight forwarders, enable United to participate in the Transportation Management System (TMS) arena and facilitate our entrance into digital marketplaces
- Guide Cargo’s involvement with customers and vendors, as it relates to direct connect, TMS and other customer-facing opportunities
- Engage with stakeholders, delivery teams, and leadership to ensure the product provides all features, tools, and integrations needed to accomplish business goals
- Manage the intake funnel, request prioritization process and progress of each request
- Manage cargo distribution channel performance data, advise management of industry/United trends and identify future opportunities
Required
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of proven web development, distribution technology and/or ecommerce experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of eCommerce functionality and capabilities, B2B distribution channels (web, direct connect, TMS, digital marketplace, etc.) and related market trends
- Proven experience leading stakeholders in large-scale technology initiatives
- A solid working knowledge of product or channel launch for a global organization in a B2B environment
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interiew required to meet job qualifications
- Reliable, puntual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Proven experience leading change in an Agile/Scrum environment in a similar role
- You can demonstrate experience implementing distribution strategies for a B2B organization
- Ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
- Experience in functioning as the business "owner" for launching direct connect capabilities and/or introducing a company into a digital marketplace in the cargo industry
- Working knowledge of Cargo industry and cargo technology platforms
