Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst- Strategy Planning will oversee a portfolio of aircraft maintenance planning, leveraging data analytics and decision modeling to optimize operations. From assessing capacity environments to leading cross-functional projects, this role is integral to United’s long-term maintenance strategy.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst- Strategy Planning will oversee a portfolio of aircraft maintenance planning, leveraging data analytics and decision modeling to optimize operations. - Develop and implement long-term airframe maintenance plans.
- Conduct data mining, scenario forecasting, and modeling to minimize costs and enhance aircraft utilization.
- Perform cost-benefit and impact analyses to inform maintenance strategies.
- Track performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead special projects for maintenance checks, modifications, and gear changes.
- Collaborate with senior management to present recommendations and insights.

What’s Needed To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least two years’ experience in using data analysis and quantitative modeling techniques
- At least one year experience in planning, strategy, or equivalent role
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced studies in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Experience in airline planning or analysis functions.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Spotfire).
- Knowledge of SQL or other programming languages.
- Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certification.
