As an airline, safety is our most important principle. And our Corporate Safety team is responsible for making sure safety is top of mind in every action we take. From conducting flight safety investigations and educating pilots on potential safety threats to implementing medical programs and helping prevent employee injuries, our team is instrumental in running a safe and successful airline for our customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities :
A Senior Investigator, Flight Safety has three specific responsibilities : the Party Coordinator / Accident Secretary, the Investigator-in-Charge (IIC), and the Investigator on Call (IOC).
- Serves as the Party Coordinator or Accident Secretary to support an investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 13 investigative agency, depending on the location of occurrence. Acts as the Investigator-In-Charge (IIC) for internal safety-related events.
- Monitors the operation as the Investigator on Call (IOC) on a rotating, weekly basis and reports required occurrences to the NTSB or the corresponding ICAO Annex 13 investigative agency, as required
- Authors technical safety promotional documentation for frontline partners, Company Leadership, and industry leaders, where appropriate
- Documents identified hazards and proposed mitigations in support of our Safety Management System (SMS)
- Supports the Senior Manager, Flight Safety Investigations (FSI) & Accident Technical Response (ATR) in ensuring continued technical response preparedness domestically and internationally

The base pay range for this role is $99, to $135,
The base salary range / hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and / or long-term incentive compensation awards.
